At Shade House, most of our projects can be referred to as “green construction.” We do not push our clients into adopting untested new technologies, but instead advise them on proven cost-effective systems that improve energy efficiency, health and the environment. We have lots of information regarding what systems and products work best for homes in the Houston region. We share this information, including all costs, so that our clients can choose what works best for them. Our knowledge and expertise regarding green construction comes not only from many years building green homes, but from the feedback we receive from our clients who have spent years living in these homes.
LEED certification provides independent, third-party verification that a building project meets the highest green building and performance measures. All certified projects receive a LEED plaque, which is the nationally recognized symbol demonstrating that a building is environmentally responsible, profitable and a healthy place to live and work.
